Skills used: branding, responsive web design, user requirements, website architecture
> The Challenge
Create an improved user experience for job applicants and align the branding of redhat.com/jobs to the website experience users have on Red Hat's corporate site, redhat.com. The project team evaluated and defined goals that included:
create a streamlined user experience on all devices, including mobile and tablets
update the visual design to align with the structure and style of redhat.com
share key employment branding messaging
provide candidates with an authentic view into Life at Red Hat
> Sitemap development
I created a sitemap to establish the content, user flows, and clarify the functionality of individual pages. Functionality included enhanced pages with recommended job search results and customized content through LinkedIn, static pages with culture content, and application pages that point the user to take action on jobs they are interested in.
> Wireframes
Wireframes for desktop and mobile were created to:
establish the user flow
confirm that page layouts and content presentation supported user goals
set standards for typographic and image hierarchy
create a visual structure to guide high-fidelity designs
develop a structure for how page designs would adapt to varying device widths
