Facebook Life Blog Re-Design

I led a 4-month cross-functional project to update & improve the visual design and user experience of the Facebook Life Blog.

Improve user experience, update visuals, streamline branding, launch new functionality, as well as create a blog experience that encouraged user exploration and discovery of content.


> Where we started

The existing Facebook Life Blog was uninviting and visually overwhelming because of its layout and outdated branding. There were also opportunities to improve the user experience on mobile devices.

> Key Metrics of Success

In the first 3 months after the re-design launched, we saw:

  • +40.7% increase in time on site for the Facebook Life Blog – from 00:02:15 to 00:03:09 mins

  • 249 additional unique page views as a result of the search query results, showing success of the new Search functionality and increased user engagement
